NIGHTWISH: Limited Mailorder Version Of 'Dark Passion Play' Includes Demo Cuts

A limited mailorder edition of NIGHTWISH's new album, "Dark Passion Play", is now available through the Nuclear Blast Music Shop for 50 euros (approximately $71). The package comes in the shape of a plaque award (dimensions: 18cm x 18cm x 3cm) and includes the bonus CD featured in the digipack version of the album plus a second bonus CD containing one brand new bonus track and previously unreleased demo versions of "Meadows of Heaven" and "The Poet and the Pendulum" with bassist Marco Hietala on vocals.

The item is limited to 2,000 copies and can be ordered here.

NIGHTWISH will make its "official" live debut with new singer Anette Olzon on October 6 in Tel Aviv, Israel. The group's U.S. tour kicks off on October 15 in West Springfield, Virginia.

According to a posting on NIGHTWISH's web site, "Dark Passion Play" has already sold more than 42,000 copies in Finland after being released on Wednesday (September 26),which is more than enough for it to be certified platinum (signifying sales in excess of 30,000 copies).

"Dark Passion Play" will be released in the U.S. on October 2 via Roadrunner Records.
